What's a Capture The Flag?

What's a Capture The Flag you might ask?

Well it's an ethical hacking competition, where the team who can figure a way into the most systems or solve the most problems earns the most points. And the person with the most points is the winner!

In this CTF you'll find challenges that are vulnerable to some form of cyber security vulnerability. It will be your responsibility to identify each vulnerability and exploit it to extract a flag. Once you extract the flag you can submit to this website for points!

The kind of flags you capture in a CTF (that's what we call them), are digital. That means you'll find them on your computer or some other electronic device!

Almost every flag you'll find or extract is written in the flag{It_Could_Look_Like_This} format.

You can read more about the different kinds of CTFs here.

Rules

Please don't share any answers or flags until the end of the competition.

Do not cheat for multiple prizes The community is small and we will remember.

You can participate either individually or as a group. To participate as a group, simply share the account credentials.

While you can play as a team, the prizes are physical and there is only one of each.

The team with the most points at the end of the CTF wins!

Everything in this exercise is simulated so you're free to target (but not spam) anything at bsidesnyc.ctfd.io or chals.io.

Challenges will remain available for approximately a week after the end of the CTF.
